Jay Simunov at Spoke N Slurred

Sunday 28th August 2022
from 5:30pm

Broadcast Bar
66A Grote Street, Adelaide

The time is coming to get some more Sunday slurred action with a guest spot worthy of our ways…

Jay Simunov is an Adelaide “poet” who writes about bipolar disorder, longing to be kissed by attractive strangers, and revolutionary guerilla warfare. His work is inspired by the inflammatory political poetics of writers like Amiri Baraka and Sean Bonney as well as the work of social undesirables excluded from the respectable artworld such as the schizophrenic photographer David Nebreda, various repulsive internet cretins, and people who scrawl profanity in public bathrooms. He has never won an award for his poetry.
